WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe stories are more than entertainment, and never merely a distraction. They are the oldest available technology for understanding what it means to be alive. It is the first tool man crafted to explore the questions that resist easy answers, for finding language for the things we carry.

We believe that the most enduring books are the ones that ask something of their reader. Honest reckoning that comes from somewhere deep inside one's on view on the world. The kind that leaves a mark. The kind you return to.

We believe that the interior life — the examined, restless, fiercely curious inner world that most people learn to sedate with easily consumable media — is not a liability. It is the whole expedition. And it deserves books that treat it that way.

We publish literary fiction, young adult stories, children's books, and devotional studies. The genres are different. The question underneath all of them is the same:
